PIERRE Pro - 0-10V Extender

The PIERRE Pro - 0-10V Extender gives a PIERRE controller four 0–10 V analogue outputs, so a controller with only digital PWM outputs can drive dimmable ballasts, LED drivers, HVAC actuators and variable-speed drives directly.

Each channel averages the PWM through an RC filter and scales it with a non-inverting op-amp at a fixed gain of 2: Vₒᵤₜ = 2 × D × Vₚᵥₘ, so a 5 V PWM source at 100 % duty gives the full 10 V. Two LM358 dual op-amps cover the four channels. There is no microcontroller and nothing to configure.

Five flat tabs plug directly into the PIERRE Controller’s screw terminals — one common ground and four PWM inputs — and the module is clamped in place when those screws are tightened. The 0–10 V outputs leave on screw terminals at the opposite edge. Supply is 12 V or 24 V DC on a soldered pad, with the return taken through the ground tab.

Two things to check on site. On a 12 V supply the LM358 cannot quite reach 10 V under load, so verify full scale with the intended load connected — 24 V removes the constraint. And the outputs drive high-impedance control inputs only; they will not drive a load.

Supplied as a bare board at IP00, so fit it inside an enclosure. Extra-low-voltage only — never connect it to mains.
