Smart PIERRE - Leakage Sensor
Description
The Leakage sensor section of the Smart PIERRE app shows the state of the water leak sensors. Sensors are available from the Dashboard and from the I/O list in the Menu.
Status
- Green dot — Active.
- Grey dot — Not Active.
Settings
A long press on the sensor icon opens two tabs:
- Edit — update the name and the picture.
- Used In — the automations the sensor takes part in.
Automation
- Close a motorised water valve when the sensor becomes Active.
- Allow a valve to open only while the sensor is Not Active, so water cannot be released into a room that is already leaking.
- Send a notification.
- Activate a siren.
Technical Notes
- A leak sensor is only useful if something acts on it. Where the risk is real, pair it with a motorised valve on the incoming water line.
- Name each sensor after its position, so an alert identifies the location without searching.
- Test at handover with a wet cloth, and confirm both the notification and the valve action.
Use of Leakage sensor
Leakage sensor has got two status indicators.
Leakage sensor - Active
When leakage is detected, green dot as an indicator of this status is visible next to the Leakage sensor.
In this case, Bathroom Leakage sensor has got green dot.
Leakage sensor - Inactive
When leakage is not detected, grey dot as an indicator of this status is visible next to the Leakage sensor.
In this case Bathroom Leakage sensor has grey dot.
