On/Off Power Supply

Description

PIERRE power supplies provide stable DC power for controllers, network equipment and other devices in the installation. All models are designed for DIN rail mounting, so they fit directly into the electrical distribution cabinet.

Available Models

12 VDC / 1.25A / 15W

For basic system configurations. Typical applications:

  • Single controller installations.
  • AC to DC conversion.
  • Basic smart home systems.
  • Powering DIN rail network switches.
  • Systems without directly connected electromagnetic locks.

12 VDC / 2A / 24W

For larger installations with several devices. Typical applications:

  • Multi-controller installations.
  • AC to DC conversion.
  • Controllers with additional peripherals.
  • Medium-sized projects.

Connect a maximum of three controllers to a single 2A power supply.

12 VDC / 2A / 40W with Battery Backup

Supports an external backup battery. On a mains failure the system switches to battery operation automatically, so critical devices keep running. Backup time depends on the battery capacity, the number of connected devices and the total consumption. Typical applications:

  • Security systems.
  • Access control systems.
  • Critical automation functions.
  • Projects that require uninterrupted operation.

24 VDC / 0.625A / 15W

Used mainly for PIERRE intercom installations. Typical applications:

  • Intercom systems.
  • Door communication systems.
  • Other devices that require 24 VDC.

Selection

Always select the power supply from the total current consumption of the connected devices, not from the device count. Electromagnetic locks draw a high current while energised, so size for that figure and leave reserve for later extension.

Technical Notes

  • Install according to the local electrical regulations and the project requirements.
  • Leave ventilation space around the unit inside the cabinet.
  • Keep the DC distribution separated from the mains wiring inside the board.
  • Where a backup battery is used, note its installation date — it is a wear part and has to be replaced.
