Description

A hot tub or hydrotherapy pool is controlled from the PIERRE system through standard outputs and inputs: relays for pumps and valves, switched or dimmed outputs for lighting, and a temperature sensor in the water circuit.

What Can Be Controlled

  • Jets and circulation — valves for the massage jets and the circulation circuits, each on its own output, so groups of jets can be switched separately.
  • Water temperature — the sensor in the circulation line provides the measured value, and the heating is switched from it to hold a target.
  • Lighting — inside the tub and around it, switched or dimmed, and usable in scenarios.
  • Valves — actuated valves driven as outputs, manually, on a schedule or from a scenario.

Automation

  • Bring the water up to temperature before a set time, so the tub is ready when it is needed.
  • Run a jet and lighting combination as a single scenario.
  • Limit the jet runtime with a timeout, so pumps do not run unattended.

Control Options

All functions are available in the app on a phone or tablet, on a local display, and remotely over the internet.

Technical Notes

  • Pumps and heaters are switched through contactors sized for their load; the controller relay drives the contactor coil, not the motor.
  • Wet areas have their own electrical zone requirements. Follow the local regulation for the installation zone, earthing and equipotential bonding.
  • Use a sensor rated for continuous contact with treated water and mount it in the circulation pipe, not in the basin.
  • Keep a manual isolation point for every pump and heater so the equipment can be serviced.
