Description

The Brightness Sensor BH1750 in the PIERRE Partner app allows precise control over light levels in your smart home, integrating seamlessly with other devices and automations.

 Key Features:

1. Adding a New Brightness Sensor:

  • To add a Brightness Sensor, tap on the Controller where it will be added, then navigate to the Configurable I/O tab and tap the Add button. Select the Brightness Sensor type (BH1750) and fill out the form with details such as Name, Role, Identifier, SDA (used for sending and receiving data in I2C communication), and SCL (used for synchronizing devices on the I2C bus during data transfer). Adjust the Address (+/-) if needed, and tap Submit or Save to confirm.

2. Editing a Brightness Sensor:

  • To edit an existing Brightness Sensor, tap on the Controller, then go to the Configurable I/O tab. Select the sensor from the list, and edit fields such as Name, Role, Identifier, SDA, SCL, and Address. Confirm your changes by tapping Submit or Done, or delete the sensor by selecting the Delete button.

3. Automation response:

  • The Brightness Sensor can be included in various automations, such as controlling Blinds. For example, blinds can automatically lower when the brightness level falls below 50%, enhancing energy efficiency and comfort.

4. Seamless Integration:

  • The Brightness Sensor integrates seamlessly with the PIERRE smart home system, interacting smoothly with other devices and automations to ensure a unified and efficient smart home environment.

To edit the I/O, click on the Controller to which the I/O is added.

You should choose the type of the I/O from the list that you would like to add.

Tap on the Add button.

Fill the following form:

  • Name -  Write name of the Brightness sensor.
  • Role - Select the Role from the list.
  • Identifier - This field is the identifier of the I/O in the electrical project.
  • SDA - Used to send and receive data in 12C communication.
  • SCL-  Used to keep all devices on the 12C bus synchronized while data is being transferred.
  • Address - Use +/- to set it.

To confirm your choice tap  Submit and Save.

You can select desired Role or Roles - multiple choice if you tap on the checkboxes next to them.

Tap on Save/Done.
