Radiator Valve (TRV) is a smart device that is used for a control of a room temperature by regulating the flow of hot water to the radiators.

Equipped with an integrated temperature sensor, it displays indoor temperature readings/the desired set temperature. For manual adjustments, a single adjustable rotary knob is provided.

Several useful indicators are included: one for wireless connection status and another to signal when the heating system is active. Additionally, a low battery voltage alert ensures timely notification for battery replacement. In this case, an alarm symbol indicating low battery will be displayed.

To reduce energy consumption in your home, focus on heating only the rooms that require it. You can achieve this by creating time-based automations tailored to your needs.
(TRV) can be integrated into scenarios, too. For instance, you can activate a specific scenario when you're away on vacation and another when you're at home. This approach optimizes heating costs by maintaining predefined temperature settings.

Controlling the radiator valve (TRV), integrated into the PIERRE system, is achieved through the PIERRE application with a single click.

The radiator valve (TRV) can serve as a retrofit device, gaining smart functionality once connected to the display.

Advantages of the radiator valve (TRV):

  • It can be mounted on almost every radiator with no need of help from a qualified person.
  • It uses Zigbee protocol.
  • It saves energy.
  • It is easy to pair it.

The product uses batteries as a power supply. They are not included in the package.

There is a motor that is used to open or close the radiator valve (TRV)  according to the needs of regulating the room temperature.
The radiator valve (TRV) releases water (increases the flow of hot water) into the heating system until temperature rises to predefined levels. In case that current temperature is higher than predefined, it lowers the flow of hot water in the system in order to reduce temperature in the room.

You can mount it by replacing the old cover of the valve. It is wireless connected to the display.

Warranty
Standard product warranty of 2 years.

Instruction for Use

Windowing function

If the window is opened and causes the room temperature to drop by more than 6°C within 4 minutes, the main screen displays 'OP' and closes the valve. This status can be cleared if the room temperature increases by 3°C, either automatically after 48 minutes or manually.

Anti-scale function

If the heat sink remains partially closed or is unused for an extended period, sedimentation may block the valve, rendering the heat sink unusable. To maintain optimal functionality, the controller will automatically fully open the valve every two weeks for a 30-second cycle. During this process, the screen will briefly display "Ad" before returning to its normal operating state.

Child lock function

To prevent accidental adjustments by children, activate the child lock function by pressing and holding the button when the device is powered on. The screen will show "LC" to indicate activation. To unlock, simply repeat the activation process.

Anti-freezing

When displaying the shutdown state ("OFF"), the antifreeze function is activated: the valve opens when the room temperature drops below 5°C and closes when the temperature rises above 8°C.

Low voltage warning function

When the battery voltage is too low, an alarm symbol " " will appear on the display to remind the user to replace the battery.

Temporary mode

When in programming mode, if you want to manually change the temperature of the current programming period, turn the knob to adjust the desired temperature, which will be maintained until the end of the current programming period.

Controller Installation - Power On Method

System Requirements

The PIERRE Wave system is a user-friendly solution for integrating and managing smart devices through a central platform. The system consists of the following components:

A - Required Elements:

  1. PIERRE Wave Products: These smart devices, including lighting, thermostats, sensors, and other appliances, connect wirelessly to the PIERRE Wave Gateway. They provide essential functions and capabilities for the system.
  2. PIERRE Wave Gateway: The central unit linking all PIERRE Wave devices, the gateway manages communication and data exchange, ensuring security and stability. It supports remote access and control, with the default Berlin display interface, though users can choose any PIERRE display model.

B - Optional Elements:

  1. Mobile PIERRE App: This app allows users to manage and monitor the system from their smartphone or tablet, offering real-time updates and remote access. It provides convenience but is not necessary for basic system operation.
  2. Router: An optional component that enables internet connectivity, allowing devices to be accessed and controlled remotely.

  1. System Operation: The gateway can connect to the router via Wi-Fi or LAN for internet connectivity, enhancing remote management capabilities. PIERRE Wave products communicate wirelessly with the gateway, which acts as the central hub. This bidirectional communication allows data to flow both ways, enabling users to send commands and receive status updates through the Mobile PIERRE App. The app facilitates effective management and real-time feedback on device statuses.
