The Alarm section in the Smart Pierre app is an essential part of the security system, providing users with full control over their home alarms. Alarms can be found on the Dashboard and I/O list, allowing for easy access and management.
Key Features:
1. Dashboard Control:
- Alarms can be turned On or Off directly from the Dashboard with a simple tap, providing quick and efficient control over the security system.
2. Edit Settings:
- By long-pressing the Alarm card on the Dashboard, users can edit the alarm’s settings, such as updating its name, icon, or other details to suit specific needs.
3. Visual Identification:
- Each alarm is represented with its own icon and picture, making it easily recognizable on the Dashboard and I/O list.
4. Automation and Scenarios:
- Alarms can be automated and included in scenarios, enabling them to activate based on specific triggers or conditions within the smart home system.
5. Sensor Integration:
- In the PIERRE smart home system, alarms can be connected to sensors, such as motion sensors, door and window contact sensors enhancing the overall security by responding to potential threats or emergencies.
The Alarm section offers a comprehensive solution for managing security in the smart home, allowing for seamless integration with other devices and full automation to ensure safety and peace of mind.
Alarm control is quick and simple, managed directly from the Dashboard.
There are two ways of controlling the Alarm:
- Press the card of the Alarm to turn it On.
- Press the card of the Alarm to turn it Off.
Press the card of the Alarm to turn it On.
The icon of the Alarm turns from green to red, and it is written Alarm On, Press to turn off.
Icon of the Alarm is changed according to change of its status.
Press the card of the Alarm to turn it Off.
The icon of the Alarm turns from red to green, and it is written Alarm Off, Press to turn on.
Icon of the Alarm is changed according to change of its status.
To edit the Alarm settings, scroll and tap on it in the I/O list.
Open I/O list, scroll to the Alarms and tap on the card of the desired Alarm.
The Edit tab is selected.
Edit the following form:
- Name - Edit the name of the Alarm.
- Photo - Choose the source for the photo.
- Slide to confirm - Enable this option to add an extra layer of security, requiring you to confirm the operation by sliding, to prevent accidental activation.
- Timeout - Set the duration for how long the Alarm will remain active in auto mode before automatically turning off.
Tap Submit/Done to confirm, or tap the Delete button to remove the Alarm.
GOOD TO KNOW:
The Alarm can be edited by long-pressing the Alarm card on the Dashboard or by tapping it in the I/O list.
You have four options:
- Open Library - The phone’s Library will open.
- Open Camera - You can take a picture using your smartphone.
- Choose default image - These images are prepared in advance in order to provide a complete and seamless experience.
- Remove image - Removes existing image.
To turn the Alarm On, slide from left to right on the Slide to Arm button.
Scroll through columns: Hours, Minutes, Seconds to set the Timeout for the Alarm.
Tap Save button to confirm.
The Used In tab shows all the scenarios and automations where the Alarm is applied, making it easy to see where this I/O is used without the need to search manually. If it isn't used in any, the list will be empty, and a message will display: "This I/O is not in use anywhere." This feature is particularly useful as it consolidates all relevant information in one place.
Tap on the Used In tab to see list of the scenarios and automations where this I/O is used.
In this case Garden Alarm is used in one scenario called Leaving home.
Automate your Alarm in the PIERRE app by setting conditions based on the Motion sensor or the window/door Magnet sensor within a specific time range. The Alarm will turn on if the Motion sensor detects movement or if the window/door is opened, and only during the defined time period. This setup enhances security by ensuring the alarm activates when either condition is met, while preventing unnecessary alerts outside of the designated hours.
Additionally, it is recommended to automate the Alarm system by including all Motion sensors and Window/door Magnet sensors.
Find the Alarm on the Dashboard or find it on the I/O list.
In both cases tap on it in order to include it in automation.
Tap on the Alarm on the Dashboard.
In the Menu, under Settings, tap on the I/O.
Open I/O list, scroll to the Alarms and tap on the card of the desired Alarm.
Tap on the tab Automation.
If you want to add new automation tap on + add new Automation.
There is possibility to add:
- New Time condition,
- New Delay
- Existing I/O.
Tap on the Existing I/O.
Tap on the I/O from the list that you want to add into the automation. In this case Motion Hall.
Tap on the button Detect Motion.
Hall Alarm will arm, when Motion Hall sensor detects motion.
Tap Save button.
To add new automation tap + Add new Automation.
Tap on the I/O that you would like to add to the atuomation.
In this case tap on Motion Hall sensor from the list.
Tap the Or button between these two automations.
The Hall Alarm will activate when either condition is met — if the Motion Hall sensor detects movement, or if the Window Magnet sensor is in the Open status.
To add a new automation, tap +Add New Automation.
There is possibility to add:
- New Time condition,
- New Delay
- Existing I/O.
Tap the New Time condition.
You should set Days, Start time and End time in this step.
Tap in the field of each of them to set them.
For more details follow next steps.
Select Days when the I/O will be active by clicking on the check box/check boxes next to the days from the list.
In this case select all days from Monday to Sunday.
Tap button Done.
Tap in the Start time and End time fields and set time by clock or by keyboard.
In this case start time is 4 o' clock and end time is midnight.
To confirm tap OK button, to cancel, tap Cancel button.
To confirm new Time conditions tap button Save.
Tap button And.
Hall Alarm will activate when Motion sensor on the window is in status Open or when Motion Hall sensor detecters motion during time from 4 to midnight, every day.
Tap button Done to confirm.
