Updated: 2 Nov 2024
Description

The Motion Sensors feature in the Smart PIERRE app provides effective monitoring for detecting movement in your home. Users can manage the Motion sensor from both the Dashboard and the I/O from the Menu.

Key benefits of the Motion sensor include:

1. Status Visibility:

  • The status of the Motion sensor is visible on the Dashboard. When no motion is detected, a gray dot is shown next to the sensor, and when motion is detected, a green dot appears, indicating active motion detection.

2. Long Press for Advanced Options:

  • A long press on the sensor icon provides access to the Edit and Used In tabs. The Edit tab allows users to customize the sensor’s name and picture, while the Used In tab shows all automations where the sensor is involved.

3. Automation Integration:

Motion sensors can be integrated into various automations for enhanced convenience. For example, when motion is detected, the system can automatically turn On the lights, ensuring energy is used efficiently only when needed.

The Motion Sensors feature integrates seamlessly with the PIERRE smart home system, providing real-time monitoring and automation that enhances comfort and security.
