The RGB Lights section in the Smart Pierre app allows users to fully customize and control their connected RGB lights. These lights can be found on the Dashboard and I/O list.
Key Features:
1. Color and Warmth Adjustment:
- Users can easily change the color of the light using a picker. A long press on the picker enables finer adjustments to match the desired ambiance.
2. Dashboard Control:
- The lights can be controlled directly from the Dashboard, with buttons for On, Off, and Auto modes to manage their operation efficiently.
3. Visual Feedback:
The icon and the picture of the RGB light change according to the change in the status of the light.
4. Scenario Integration and Automation:
- RGB lights can be integrated into scenarios, allowing them to automatically adjust their color and based on predefined conditions or events within the system.
The RGB Lights section offers comprehensive control and customization, allowing you to tailor the lighting in your smart home, adjust settings, and automate lighting to fit your routine.
Controlling the RGB Light is simple and efficient, with everything managed directly from the Dashboard.
A slider displaying the Intensity level of the selected color is shown on the right side of the RGB Light card.
Follow the example of the Hall RGB Light.
There are three buttons for controlling the RGB Light:
- On - Tap this button to turn On the RGB Light.
- Off - Tap this button to turn Off the RGB Light.
- Auto - If you tap the Auto button, the automation will activate when the conditions are met.
To turn the RGB Light On, tap the On button.
The icon turns blue and picture of the RGB Light will change, indicating it has been turned On.
To turn the RGB Light Off, tap the Off button.
The icon turns grey and picture of the RGB Light will change, indicating it has been turned Off.
If you tap the Auto button, the previously created automation for the RGB Light will be activated if all conditions are met. The icon of the RGB Light will turn blue, and the picture will update to reflect the On status.
If you tap the Auto button and some conditions from the automation are not met, the RGB Light will not activate. The icon will turn grey, and the picture will reflect the Off status. All conditions must be fulfilled for the automation to work.
Long press the card of the RGB Light.
The Intensity tab is selected.
You can use the following buttons for control:
- On - Tap it to turn On the RGB Light.
- Off - Tap it to turn Off the RGB Light.
- Auto - Tap to enable automation based on predefined conditions.
The color intensity level on the slider and the icon change according to the current status.
Additionally, you can use the slider to adjust the Intensity manually by sliding your finger to the desired intensity level.
To confirm tap button Done.
There are two ways to choose color for the RGB Light.
Swipe your finger across the color wheel to select the desired color for the RGB Light.
You can also tap on the Presets shown beneath the wheel to choose color.
To confirm tap button Done.
The selected color will be applied to the RGB Light and will appear on the slider of the RGB Light card if it's part of any groups on the Dashboard.
Follow next steps to edit RGB Light.
Open I/O list, scroll to the RGB Lights and tap on the desired RGB Light from the list.
In this case, Hall RGB Light.
Tap on the Edit tab.
Fill out the following form:
- Name - Edit the name of the RGB Light.
- Photo - Choose the source of the photo for both On and Off statuses.
- Slide to confirm - When enabled, you'll be asked to confirm the operation to avoid accidental actions.
- Timeout - Set the duration for how long the RGB Light will stay On in auto mode.
Tap Submit/Done to save the changes.
GOOD TO KNOW:
The RGB Light can be edited by long-pressing the RGB Light card on the Dashboard or by tapping it in the I/O list.
Tap the photo of the RGB Light. You have four options:
- Open Library - The phone’s Library will open. It is recommended to take pictures from the same angle for both RGB Light statuses to achieve a complete and consistent view.
- Open Camera - You can take a picture using your smartphone. For a complete and consistent view, it’s recommended to capture both RGB Light statuses from the same angle.
- Choose default image - These images are prepared in advance to provide a complete and seamless experience.
- Remove image - Removes the existing image.
Choose Timeout - scroll through columns for the Hours, Minutes, Seconds.
In this case, Timeout is set on 2 minutes.
Tap Save button.
Set the RGB Light in the bedroom to activate based on time and motion.
At 8:00 PM, when motion is detected in the room, the RGB Light will turn on at 40% intensity with a calming purple color. After 9:30 PM, the light will automatically shift to a deep blue, promoting a relaxing atmosphere for winding down. If no motion is detected for 20 minutes, the light will turn off completely. This automation creates a soothing environment with soft colors and conserves energy when the room is empty.
Open the Dashboard, find the RGB Light and log press its card.
In the Menu, under Settings, tap on the I/O.
Open I/O list, scroll to the RGB Lights and tap on the desired RGB Light from the list.
In this case, Hall RGB Light.
Tap on the tab Automation tab and then on the + Add new Automation.
The Used In tab shows all the scenarios and automations where the RGB Light is applied, making it easy to see where this I/O is used without the need to search manually. If it isn't used in any, the list will be empty, and a message will display: "This I/O is not in use anywhere." This feature is particularly useful as it consolidates all relevant information in one place.
In this case, Hall RGB Light is used in scenario Party Time.
