The Groups section in the Smart Pierre app allows users to create and manage logical groupings of devices based on their location or type. This feature provides an organized way to view and control various I/Os on the Dashboard, making it easier to manage your smart home system.
Key Features:
1. Create and Edit Groups:
- Easily create new groups or edit existing ones. Groups can be customized to reflect different areas of your home or specific types of devices.
2. Logical Organization:
- Groups offer a logical division of devices, making it easier to find and manage devices on the Dashboard by categorizing them based on their location or functionality.
3. View All Groups:
- All created groups are displayed in the Groups section, giving you a clear overview of how devices are organized in your smart home.
4. Customization:
- You can modify group settings, including renaming the group, changing the assigned devices, or updating the group's role in automations.
The Groups section in the Smart Pierre app simplifies the organization and management of your I/Os, allowing you to create logical divisions and easily access devices based on their location or type.
Open Groups under the Settings.
Tap on the Groups on Menu list.
All Groups are displayed.
You can Add, Save changed position of the Groups and Search Groups, too.
You can add a new Group if you tap on the Add button, save the changes to the Group order when you tap on the button Save.
The Search bar is used for easier and faster Group searching.
Follow next steps to add New Group.
Tap on the Add button.
Fill the following form:
- Name - Enter the name of the Group.
- Caption - Description of the Group.
- Role - Select the Role from the list.
- I/Os - To add a new I/O, tap Add a new I/O.

Tap button Save.
You can select desired Role or Roles - multiple choice if you tap on the checkboxes next to them.
Tap on Save/Done.
The list of I/O's is shown, so you can add or remove I/O's.
Select the check box/boxes next to the desired I/O or I/Os that you would like to add or remove.
Tap the button Save.
There are options to filter I/O's.
There are two groups of the I/O's - Slide to confirm and Enabled.
Also, you can choose Types of the I/O's here.
Tap on the button Save.
You can select types of the I/Os by tapping in the check box/checkboxes - for multiple choice, next to the desired I/Os.
Tap on Save/Done.
To change the order of the Groups, for example, moving the the Security group to third and the Living Room group to fourth on the list, simply adjust their positions. You can do this by long pressing on the Security group and dragging it to the third place.
This will change their order on the Dashboard.
When you are satisfied with the new Group order tap button Save.
The Search bar is used for easier and faster Group searching.
Tap in the Search field and enter the name of the desired Group.
Tap on the Group from the list that you would like to edit.
Edit following form:
- Name - Enter the name of the Group.
- Caption - Description of the Group.
- Role - Select the Role from the list.
- I/Os - To add a new I/O, tap Add a new I/O.

Tap button Done, or tap button Delete if you want to delete Group.
List of all I/Os added to this Group is shown. By drag and drop change the order of the I/Os on the list.

To confirm tap button Done.
