The I/O section within the Settings of the Smart Pierre app provides an organized view of all Input/Output devices connected to your system, grouped by their type. This section is key for managing and customizing the functionality of your smart home devices.
Key Features:
1. Organized List by Type:
• All I/Os are neatly grouped based on their device type (e.g., lights, sensors, switches), making it easy to locate and manage specific devices.
2. Search and Filter:
• You can use the search bar and filter options to quickly find the I/O you’re looking for, streamlining device management even in larger installations.
3. Edit I/Os:
• Clicking on any I/O allows you to edit its settings, such as renaming the device, adjusting its configuration, or modifying its role in automations.
4. Add I/Os:
• The Add button allows you to easily create new I/Os that are not physically wired into the system, such as virtual devices or wireless components, without needing to use the Pierre Partner app for additional setup.
The I/O section provides comprehensive control and customization of all smart home devices, making it easy to find, edit, and add new devices to your Pierre smart home system.
I/O List can be open in a just a few steps.
Under Settings tap on the I/O from the Menu.
The Search field allows for faster searching of I/Os by name, while the Filter provides an additional option to refine the search.
From this section, you can edit any I/O from the list or add a new I/O.
There are options to filter I/O's.
There are two groups of the I/O's - Slide to confirm and Enabled.
Also, you can choose Types of the I/O's here.
Tap on the button Save.
You can select types of the I/Os by tapping in the check box/checkboxes - for multiple choice, next to the desired I/Os.
Tap on Save/Done.
Pro I/Os are added through the PIERRE Partner app.
By tapping the Add button here, you can add either virtual or Wave I/Os.
Follow next steps to add new I/O.
In order to add new I/O tap on the Add button.
Tap on the type of the I/O that you would like to add, from the list.
New Alarm can be added from the I/O List.
Fill the following form:
- Name - Enter the name of the Alarm.
- Role - Select the Role from the list of Roles.
- Photo - Choose a photo for the Alarm.
- Slide to confirm - When this option is enabled, you will be asked to confirm the desired operation to avoid accidental actions.
- Timeout - The duration for which the Alarm will be turned On in auto mode.
To confirm tap Submit and Save.
You can select desired Role or Roles - multiple choice if you tap on the checkboxes next to them.
Tap on Save/Done.
You have three options:
Open Library - The phone’s Library will open.
Open Camera - You can take a picture using your smartphone.
Choose default image - These images are prepared in advance in order to provide a complete and seamless experience.
Scroll through three columns for Hours, Minutes and Seconds to set the Timer for the Alarm.
To confirm tap button Save.
New Alert can be added from from Alerts - Menu List and from the I/O List.
In this case follow next steps to add it from the I/O List.
Fill the following form:
- Name - Enter the name of the Alert.
- Role - Select the Role from the list.
- Photo - Choose a photo to represent the Alert.
- Message body - Enter the message that will be displayed when the Alert is triggered.
Notification Level (tap radio button next to desired notification level):
- Display only in the Activity tab - This alert will appear in the list of all activities that have occurred over time on the Activity tab.
- Push notification (A push notification is a message sent directly to your device, alerting you instantly without needing to open the app.)
- Receive a phone call - A phone call will be made as an alert.
Open screen - Specifies which screen opens when tapping on the alert notification.
Tap Submit/Save.
You can select desired Role or Roles - multiple choice if you tap on the checkboxes next to them.
Tap on Save/Done.
New Scenario can be added from the Scenario - Menu List and from the I/O List.
Follow next steps to add it from the I/O List.
In order to add new Scenario fill the following form:
- Name - Write the name of the Scenario.
- Role - Select the Role/Roles (in case of multiple choice) from the list.
- Slide to confirm - When enabled, you will be asked to confirm the operation to avoid accidental actions.
- Photo - Choose a source of the photo.
- Icon - Select the icon from the list that will represent your scenario by tapping on it.
- Add a new I/O - Select the checkbox/checkboxes (for multiple choice) next to I/Os that you want to add to the Scenario.
To confirm tap Submit and Done.
You can select desired Role or Roles - multiple choice if you tap on the checkboxes next to them.
Tap on Save/Done.
You have four options:
- Open Library - The phone’s Library will open.
- Open Camera - You can take a picture using your smartphone.
- Choose default image - These images are prepared in advance in order to provide a complete and seamless experience.
- Remove image - Removes existing image.
You can search I/Os if you tap in the field Search and write the name of the I/O that you want to find, or to tap on the filter icon in the up right corner of the Search bar.
Tap on the checkbox/checkboxes next to the desired I/Os that you would like to add to the Scenario from the I/Os to Set in Scenario list.
Under each of the I/Os on this list is shown its current status.
The statuses are always those that have been set, and they can be changed later by tapping on the I/O.
Tap Save.
Wave I/O can be added from the Wave I/O - Menu List and from the I/O List.
Follow next steps to add it from the I/O List.
Tap on the Display Gateway that you would like to add Wave I/O to it.
In this step system will find new device.
There will be shown which device is found and can be added.
Fill following form:
Name - Write name of the device.
Role - Select Role from the list.
Group - Choose Group on Dashboard.
Group is a group of I/Os and scenario that seems most logical to you.
Tap Save and continue or Skip.
In this step, you need to select one or more Groups.
Select the checkbox/checkboxes next to the Group/Groups that you want to associate with the I/O.
Once selected, the I/O will appear in the chosen Groups on the Dashboard.
Tap Save/Done to confirm your selection.
Clock can be added from the I/O List.
Fill the following form:
- Name - Enter the name of the Clock.
- Role - Select the Role from the list.
- City - Enter the City.
To confirm tap Submit and Save.
Editing an I/O from the I/O list is quick and simple.
Tap on the I/O from the list in order to edit it..
Edit the following form:
- Name - Edit the name of the Brightness sensor.
- Photo - Choose the source of the photo.
Tap the Submit/Done.
GOOD TO KNOW:
Brightness sensor can be edited by long-press the Brightness sensor card on the Dashboard or tapping it in the I/O list.
Tap photo of the Brightness sensor.
