Description

In this section, we provide a practical example of wiring for a single-floor apartment using Pierre Wave wireless products. Pierre Wave products operate on the Zigbee protocol, offering flexibility for installations without extensive wiring, making it ideal for retrofitting and smart upgrades.

Key Points:

    1.    Minimal Wiring:
    •    Since Pierre Wave devices are wireless, you only need to wire the main power supply to certain central devices like relays or actuators.
    •    Devices such as switches and sensors communicate wirelessly with the system, requiring little or no additional cabling, simplifying the setup process.
    2.    Gateway Setup:
    •    A Wave gateway is essential for connecting all wireless devices to the smart home network. Pierre display units can also serve as gateways, reducing the need for additional hardware.
    3.    Power Supply and Actuators:
    •    For central devices like blinds, lighting relays, or heating valves, run standard power cables to ensure they have a constant power supply. The rest of the control is done wirelessly, reducing the complexity of physical wiring.
    4.    Room-Level Examples:
    •    Living room: Wireless Wave switches can be used to control lighting or blinds, with the Wave relay controlling the motorized blinds through wireless commands.
    •    Bedrooms: Use wireless sensors (e.g., motion, temperature) to automate heating/cooling systems, with all communication handled wirelessly through the gateway.

This layout significantly reduces wiring needs, making it easier to upgrade and integrate smart home functionality into existing buildings with minimal disruption.
