Irrigation Valves play a crucial role in Irrigation systems.
- System Integration: In the PIERRE smart home system, Irrigation Valves are seamlessly integrated to automate watering processes efficiently. These valves connect to the PIERRE system via a 4-channel or 8-channel Solid State Relay (SSR) board, controlled by the PIERRE Pro or LITE Controller. This integration allows the valves to respond to commands from the PIERRE app, ensuring reliable and automated irrigation management, making it easier to control water flow and optimize garden care.
- Voltage Compatibility: Irrigation valves can operate on both 12V and 24V systems. In the case of 12V, the valve can be directly connected to the controller for straightforward integration and control. However, for 24V operation, we need stronger power and in that case we need additional power supply and relay board. If more power is needed, additional relay board and a power supply can be utilized to ensure effective operation. This flexibility allows users to choose the appropriate voltage based on the specific requirements of their irrigation system.
- Automation Possibilities: The valves can be configured for automation scenarios based on time schedules or weather conditions. Users can establish a daily watering routine, such as opening the valves every morning, or link the valves to weather conditions to keep them closed on rainy days. The PIERRE app also offers manual control with a confirmation feature to prevent accidental activation, allowing flexibility in managing the Irrigation system. Furthermore, automations can integrate with other smart home features, such as turning Off the water when entering "Away" mode, ensuring efficient water use even when the home is unoccupied. This setup optimizes Irrigation without constant manual intervention, providing a seamless, efficient solution for managing garden care within the PIERRE smart home system.

What color mean what on Controller LED?
Green – Online:
The controller is online and connected to the network, functioning as expected.
Red – Offline:
The controller is offline, indicating a disconnection from the network or that there is no internet access.
Light Blue – AP Mode:
The controller is in Access Point (AP) Mode, meaning it is broadcasting its own network, allowing devices to connect directly to the controller for setup or configuration.
Dark Blue – AP Mode with Pierre Partner:
The controller is in AP Mode, and it is actively being managed through the Pierre Partner system. This mode is used for more advanced setup or partner-level configuration.
Purple – Searching for IP Address:
The controller is attempting to obtain an IP address from the router or network. It is searching for an internet connection.
Orange – Firmware Update:
The controller is in the process of downloading a firmware update, ensuring that the system stays up-to-date with the latest software and features.
These LED color indicators provide essential information about the controller’s current status, making it easy to monitor its connection, operation mode, and maintenance activities.
Has it been added to configuration?
If not: Add it in the PIERRE Partner application.
Also, check if it's specified within the push button which lamp you want to control.
Are the GND and OUTPUT cables properly connected and does the LED on the relay board light up?
If not: Check the polarity of the relay, maybe they are reversed. To rule out the relay issue, provide 12VDC directly from the power supply to the relay signal wire instead of the output.
Are the wires connected to the relay?
If not: Check all connections of the relay. Does the Line (L) connected? Are the correct wires connected?
Which valve should I use for irrigation systems?
Most projects have used Hunter 24V valves for irrigation systems.
