The Pierre system supports a wide range of compatible relays, including both mechanical and solid-state relays (SSR), which can be used to control various devices within the smart home ecosystem. These relays are essential for managing power to connected devices, offering flexible control for different load capacities.
Recommended Relays:
1. Mechanical and Solid-State Relays:
• Pierre supports a variety of mechanical relays and SSR relays. However, we highly recommend using Pierre’s SSR relays, as they are equipped with additional electronics to prevent current leakage and are safeguarded by integrated fuses to protect the system.
Examples of Compatible Relays:
1. Schrack YRT78626 + Schrack RT314012:
• This combination of Schrack relays is fully compatible with the Pierre system and offers reliable performance for various applications. The Schrack RT314012 is a 16A mechanical relay that can be paired with the YRT78626 terminal socket.

• Schrack RT314012
2. Solid State Relay Autonics SSR ASL-L01SP1-PY 2A:
• This solid-state relay from Autonics is an excellent choice for smaller loads, handling up to 2A. It offers reliable switching and compatibility with the Pierre system for high-performance control.
• Autonics SSR ASL-L01SP1-PY 2A
3. Autonics SRHL1 Series (10A - 40A):
• The SRHL1 series offers SSRs for larger loads, ranging from 10A to 40A. These relays are designed for high-consumption devices, providing durable and reliable switching in heavy-duty applications.
• Autonics SRHL1 Series
4. Eaton Z-SCH230/25-20:
• The Eaton contactor is ideal for large consumers like motorized blinds and heavy electrical loads. This device integrates smoothly with the Pierre system, providing efficient switching for high-power devices.
• Eaton Z-SCH230/25-20
By integrating Pierre-compatible relays, users can control various high-power devices within the smart home system. However, using Pierre’s SSR relays is recommended to ensure maximum safety and performance due to their advanced protection features.

Why use a solid-state relay (SSR)?
Solid-state relays have a longer lifespan and operate silently, making them ideal for many applications.
What happens if one relay in the relay board fails?
PIERRE relay boards use high-quality relays with additional safety features. If one relay fails, you can either replace the entire board or, if possible, use another output.
