In the PIERRE smart home system, gates can be controlled through several methods, providing flexibility and security.
- Smartphone control: Use the Smart PIERRE application on a smartphone to remotely open or close the gate. Access the Key section in the app to monitor the real-time status of the gate (locked-closed, unlocked-opened). This method verifies user permissions to ensure only authorized individuals can operate the gate, offering remote control from anywhere with an internet connection.
- RFID technology: Open the gate using an RFID card or by entering a PIN code through the RFID reader installed at the gate. This provides secure access without needing a smartphone.
- Car plate recognition: Utilize vehicle access with car plate recognition technology. The system identifies a pre-registered vehicle's license plate and automatically opens the gate as the car approaches. These multiple control options—smartphone, RFID card, PIN code, and car plate recognition—offer a comprehensive solution for managing gate access in the PIERRE smart home system.

In which state of the door/gate is better to use contact sensor to receive signal?
It is better to use contact sensor to receive signal when door/gate is closed, because in case that door/gate stayed half-opened contact sensor will send signal that door/gate stayed opened. It does not make the difference between opened and half-opened status, only between opened and closed.
Is the Mehanic relay properly connected to the GND and one of PIERRE's output?
If not: Connect it correctly according to the diagram.
Is the Mechanical relay connected to the gate just like a push button?
If not connect it.
Is the Gate working in reverse?
To rule out the Gate or wire malfunction, you can remove the wire connected from the Mehanics relay to the PIERRE's output and touch it to the 12V.If the Gate opens, it means everything is working after the PIERRE.Alternatively, try moving the PIERRE to another available output (also change the Pin in the PIERRE Partner app accordingly).
How can I check if the gate is open or closed?
Install a Contact sensor on the gate to monitor its status in the Pierre app. Some gate motors also provide status information.
What happens if there’s a power outage?
Gate motors and locks can be backed up by battery power, allowing them to function during outages. Additionally, it's always recommended to have manual operation options.
